Cod4 Patch v1.6 + Mappack
As promised last week, Activision and Infinity Ward have released a new patch for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, updating this popular first person sequel to v1.6. This patch includes four new maps (Creek, Chinatown, Broadcast, and Killhouse), hardcore and oldschool server browser filters, as well as a fix for a Denial of Service attack.

Call of Duty 4 PC Maps on June 5th
Infinity Ward has announced that the 800-point Call of Duty 4 Xbox 360 Variety Map Pack will be released on June 5th for free to PC players! Yeah it's true, the map pack is being released at no extra charge to PC users thanks to the sponsorship of Nvidia. Nvidia will apparently also be running a few promotions leading up to the release of the map pack as well as beyond that so look for the news on that here as well as it becomes available. The map pack will consist of the four maps which were already released to Xbox and PS3 users; Broadcast, Chinatown, Killhouse, and Creek. In addition to the map pack hitting, PC Players will be receiving the 1.6 Patch for the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that will add support for the new maps, fix a server crash exploit recently reported by the community, and a few additional features / bug fixes.

Flash Vulnerability Spreading Fast
Adobe Flash contains a vulnerability that may allow an attacker to run code on a system that has a vulnerable version of the Flash player installed. There are reports that this vulnerability is being actively exploited (Vista users are safe for this, for the record). Download and install Flash Player 9.0.124.0 immediately. Watch the version number when it's finished installing.
