Hello everyone!
We hope our U.S. players had a great Thanksgiving holiday and that everyone had a fantastic weekend of playing Hellgate: London. We kept working through our cornucopia of turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and American football games to get some more fixes done and ready to push out this week.
Patch 0.6 has one very notable fix – the invisible group member bug has been slain. This was a crafty, fierce thing with rows of nasty sharp teeth, but we believe it has now fallen into the mists of legend. We’ll stay vigilant in case it raises its ugly invisible head again.
We’ve also made great strides on the Engineer Drone issue where items become unequipped. There are some cases where Drones (as well as players), will still have items unequip. The main cause of this is when players “ladder up” the equipment on their Character or Drone by using items with statistic bonuses. This results in the Character or Drone being able to use a better overall set of gear than they normally could, and thus causes issues if the items are not equipped in a specific order (or used at all). We’re continuing to work on this one, but it is better with this patch.
As always, we’re reading the forums, getting your feedback, and seeing your desires for Hellgate. The biggest issue we’re currently working on is the client-side memory usage issue. This is very complex and involved, and we also know that it’s a major issue for users. We’re pouring all of our energies right now into working on the game, so if you don’t see us reply to your posts it doesn’t mean we aren’t listening. It just means we’re working hard to make Hellgate: London a better and better experience.

Just a heads-up, on November 5th between 6AM and 9AM PST, both the Shulgoth and Sydonai servers will be coming down for maintenance and patching. We're shooting for our total downtime to be no longer than those three hours, but please be patient. It's also possible that one server might be up before the other, so don't worry if you can logon to only one of them for a time – both will be up after we complete our scheduled downtime.
The reason for this? Well, during this downtime, we're deploying a new patch that, among other things, contains a new subscriber only themed event: Guy Fawkes Day.
That's right, Hellgate: London is celebrating Guy Fawkes Day. The holiday, still celebrated in England, is held in remembrance of Guy Fawkes' failure to assassinate King James I in what became known as the Gunpowder Plot. This story has been referenced numerous times in pop culture... Harry Potter, the film "V for Vendetta," and even the song "Remember" by John Lennon all have roots in the 5th of November. Time to add Hellgate: London to that list! Here are the details:

There are bigger Demons out there, and perhaps they're being drawn to the flames that erupt on Bonfire Night. Track down a series of named monstrosities and explore new areas as you seek to keep these explosive horrors at bay.
Bonfire Nightmares
Increased Demonic activity and the explosive nature of the times have made parts of the city even more fiery than usual. Keep an eye out for these rare locations.
Grenades
What would this celebration be without explosions? Lots of explosions... So many, in fact, that everyone can get in on the fun of hurling the Marksman's staple – Grenades. Now, imagine what else you could do with them.

Basically just inviting people we game with.. Destruction Crew is primarily for Guild Wars and Hellgate: London (we have an actual guild for each). As far as Condition Zero, StarCraft & Portal.. we play those and many other games under various names and tags (with the exception of Portal, being it's not multiplayer) with all of our other friends. So this is really just a place for all friends from all games to get together and shoot the shit.
This also gives us a good spot to schedule shit if we wanted..
