Im sure you all know this weekend's big gaming news... that being the announcement of DIABLO III!!!!!!
In honor of the day (and since Ive never played through any of them), I would like to suggest a group game... starting with Diablo and going through both Diablo 2 and it's expansion.

That's right, Im now a regular within Phantasy Star Universe: Ambition of the Illuminus And so far, Im REALLY enjoying this, and if anyone is looking for a good and cheap action based MMO, Im going to say check this out:
1) You do NOT need the original to play this game. In the single player, the expansion is effectively a sequel. In the online game, it's basically PSU+ and has all the original stuff as well.... and they all play on the same servers!
2) I do not know the price on the PS2, but both the original and the expansion go for $20 on the PC brand new at Gamestop these days. Add to that a $10 a month and it's not a very expensive game to play.
and 3) Why do I mention PS2? Because PC and PS2 DO play together. Sadly, 360 is out of this loop (they wanted it to custom support XBL chat, so they had to custom it).
My only caution, make SURE whichever format you choose, you have a controller ready. Trust me, you will want it. (On PC, I reccomend a 360 controller, and on PC, I reccomend having a USB keyboard onhand to plug into it.)
For now, though, this means Ive hung up Tabula Rasa once more. While I love this game, and defending a base (seriously, there is nothing more addicting then you and 6 other players in the heat of a full and psychotic alien invasion), Im finding too few other things holding me to it. Maybe Ill come back, maybe not.. we will have to see.
